THE LEAF Fleming’s new icon is rooted in legacy and inspired by the transformative role education plays in shaping futures. The leaf is created by individual elements coming together to form a powerful collective symbol. The building shapes represent all our diverse communities and campuses; the chevron directional angle is an interpretation of Sir Sandford Fleming’s engineering tool featured in our School’s Coat of Arms, and the tree formation stands for the environment and growth. The interplay of space and shape within the design is meant to symbolize the energy and momentum associated with moving forward in learning and life. A green leaf is an appropriate representation of our campus’s natural landscapes, our expertise in environmental programming, and our dedication to sustainability.
THE WORDMARK
The word mark is based on the Sans typeface. It was created specifically for Fleming College in 2004 and is a highly recognizable component of our brand. We have evolved and strengthened the wordmark by adding our new leaf icon.
